Astigmatic Correction &
Multi Focals Correction

All of the above types of lenses are now available with Astigmatic correction (for people with “rugby ball” shaped eyes) and Multi focal Correction. Regular follow up appointments are vital to maintain healthy contact lens wear. These checks should take place at least annually, and more regularly during the first few months of contact lens wear.

Scleral Contact Lenses

Scleral contact lenses are very large (up to 26mm-compared to a standard daily lens of about 14mm or a rigid gas permeable lens at about 9.5mm), this helps in stabilising the image obtained. Also as they effectively create a new cornea (front of eye) albeit one made out of plastic.

Coloured Contact Lenses

Coloured contact lenses are cosmetic lenses that change the colour of a person’s iris. They are available in a variety of colours, including blue, green, brown, red and more. Coloured contact lenses can be worn for special occasions, such as Halloween or a masquerade ball, or they can be worn on a regular basis to change the appearance of one’s eyes.
